5356 is an all position non-heat-treatable Mig wire used to weld the 5XXX series alloys when 40000 PSI tensile strength is not a requirement. Alloy 5356 is a very good all purpose wire so it is one of the most widely used of all aluminium MIG wires. This product contains 5% Magnesium.
Common applications are welding of boats, ships, bicycles, tanks, pressure vessels and automotive parts.
Layer Wound.
Must be used with a shielding gas – Argon or Pure Argon Gas.
