A stainless steel filler rod used in GTAW welding process used for joining CrNiMo & CrNi steels eg. 316, 316L, and 316Ti as well as 304, 304L 347 with service temperatures of up to 400 Deg C, stainless Cr steels with a max of 19% Cr.
ER316L has a good resistance to general corrosion and due to its low carbon content, good resistance to intercrystalline corrosion. It also has good resistance to pitting corrosion due to the balanced molybdenum content.
Widely used in the food catering industry.
